About us
The NWBSA is the North-West Coast's premier cue table sporting organisation. Although known records date back as far as 1971, there is evidence that 1963 was the actual starting point. Comprehensive details are sketchy prior to 1981 and current NWBSA administration is still searching for more background.
The NWBSA is currently made up of 8 teams representing four clubs, Devonport RSL, Ulverstone Club, Ulverstone Returned Services Club, Penguin Sports & Services Club and the Burnie Club.
At any given time, there are approximately 80-100 registered players, however records since 1981 indicate a turnover of more than 450 players have been involved in the competition.
The NWBSA is an affiliated member of the Tasmanian Billiards and Snooker Association and competes regularly in State-wide combined shields and State championships.
